Let me tell you about my favourite quote.
A long time ago, a man named Andre Gide (a French author - and Nobel prize winner in Literature) said, “One does not discover new lands without the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
It’s an inspiring message, of hope, and bravery, and, I think, in a moment of doubt, I had adopted this as an adage in which to live my life.
This doesn’t mean that I rush to every new challenge, however. I am a pedantic person, who likes everything to be perfect before I launch.
There’s no reason I have to sink in the middle of the sea just because I didn’t make the preparations.
